I have also done some searching on this, and although many people report the same problem, nobody seems to accept been able to reply one very simple question: why does this consume such a huge amount of resources?
I am not interested in the Windows Store, and oasis't bothered to wait inside it even once since I bought this nice i7 with Windows x on information technology. Yet, the wsappx process is reported to constantly swallow around 15% of my cpu and >220 MB of memory. Why does microsoft demand those resource if I am non buying anything in the shop?
I accept tried setting update apps automatically to off (first time I actually went into the shop, what a load of rubbish did I see...). That did not change a thing.

Even though you are not interested in whatsoever of the Store's offerings, the Store does more just sell stuff. It is too the app that keeps Postal service, Calendar, and other in-box features of Windows updated. It is the conduit for some other things that I don't call up.

What build of Windows 10 are you using?
I take nada showing in Job Manager
that is running over 1% CPU except when
we get Insider builds.

I have build 16299.309.
As updates are really not a choice in Windows 10, I assume that's simply the most contempo one?
Chore manager says wsappx is happily popping abroad 11% cpu while I am typing this...

Thanks! But there are not a lot of answers there... Basically, it says we don't know what is going on.
I actually don't apply Mail, Calendar or most of the other boxed Windows apps. I wouldn't mind uninstalling them. But even if this process keeps things like this "updated", why does information technology need so much cpu to exercise that?
It is not always, merely there are times that I would appreciate having that extra 10 or fifteen% for my programs (yep, I utilize programs, not apps...)

This isn't really the correct forum for you. This forum is for beta testers ("Insiders") working on upcoming versions of Windows x. Right now we are working on bugswatting builds 17120 and 17624. Quite different from your Fall Creators Update (16299).
